Our Community

Giving back is what we're about: to our environment, the bees, local communities, and our chosen charities. We are trying to BEE the change that the WA Apiculture and Honey industry needs.

Profit donations

We dedicate 1% of every honey sale to support bee health and sustainability through research and protection programmes. While our contributions currently support national initiatives like the Australian Honeybee Council and The Wheen Bee Foundation, the impact is global — including Singapore. By choosing our honey, you're directly supporting efforts in bee research, disease prevention, and environmental sustainability. Every jar makes a difference.

Teddybear Honey

With every purchase of our Honeybear honey, $1 is donated to Free the Bears Inc., a global organisation working to rescue and protect bears from illegal wildlife trade and bile farming. By supporting this cause, you're joining a mission to create a world where animals and insects are respected as vital parts of our natural ecosystem — not exploited or harmed.

Every jar of Honeybear honey helps promote ethical, sustainable choices — available on store in Western Australia.

Free The Bears

Community Support

The House of Honey team proudly supports the annual Honey Festival, a non-profit initiative that promotes beekeeping, honey education, biosecurity awareness, and the many benefits of beeswax. This community-focused event raises awareness around the importance of bees and sustainable beekeeping — values that resonate far beyond Australia and inspire growing interest here in Singapore.

Bee Surveillance

We're proud to partner with Australia’s National Bee Pest Surveillance Program and host a sentinel hive on-site as part of this important initiative. Our role helps provide early warning systems to detect harmful bee pests and diseases — supporting the health of bee populations not only in Western Australia, but with benefits that extend globally, including to regions like Singapore where pollination and bee protection are vital to food security and sustainability.

Annual Honey Industry Levy

The House of Honey contributes to the health of the beekeeping industry by paying an Annual Honey Industry Levy to the Australian government — based on the volume of honey we pack and sell. This levy supports vital initiatives that strengthen the wellbeing of beekeepers, improve biosecurity, and ensure a sustainable future for honey production. While the programme is based in Australia, its impact benefits global honey lovers, including conscious consumers in Singapore who care about ethical and traceable sourcing.

Kanyana Wildlife Support

We proudly support Kanyana Wildlife, a not-for-profit wildlife rehabilitation centre dedicated to conservation and education. Located in a protected Jarrah forest in the Perth Hills, Kanyana plays a vital role in preserving native Australian species — and we’re honoured to contribute regularly to their mission.

By choosing our honey in Singapore, you're also supporting environmental efforts that protect biodiversity and promote sustainable ecosystems — both in Australia and globally.
